Getting Gum Out Of Berber Carpet
Step 4 using a metal spatula or butter knife slowly start to scrape the gum off the carpet.

You may also apply a dry cleaning solution citrus based degreaser or mineral alcohol to chewing gum. You can use a fingernail brush to help scrape the loosened gum from the carpet. I had a berber carpet and i used ice. Place the ice bag directly on the gum in your carpet and wait 5 10 minutes. Sponge the gum stain directly with cleaning fluid such as 409. Allow it to crack and break into fragments and remove as much as possible.
This will harden the gum so it s easier to remove gum from carpet. After this time the gum should be frozen enough and you can start breaking it out. Just be careful not to spread the gum to surrounding carpet. For the total removal of a dried gum from the carpet use a knife or ordinary spoon.
The dry powder helps pull the dirt and soil out of the carpet. Follow the instructions on the cleaner to determine how much you should use on your carpet. Hit the frozen gum with the back of a metal kitchen utensil breaking it into pieces. Step 3 use the prongs of the fork to gently lift the dented carpet.
