Glulam siding boards. Plywood siding features a rough sawn textured face for a beautiful rustic appearance. One of the greatest advantages of glulam is that it can be manufactured in a wide variety of sizes. Douglas fir is prized for it s strength stress ratings and appearance. Laminated tongue and groove decking can be finished with a standard v channel bull nose or square edge pattern.

By laminating a number of smaller pieces of timber a single large strong structural member is manufactured from smaller pieces. Glulam is versatile ranging from simple straight beams to complex curved members. Glulam is a stress rated engineered wood beam composed of wood laminations or lams that are bonded together with durable moisture resistant adhesives. Custom sizes high quality douglas fir.

Glulam beams are 2x4 or 2x6 douglas fir dimensional lumber layered and laminated together with durable moisture resistant structural adhesives. The adhesives shall be for wet use conforming to astm 2559. Altruwood s douglas fir glulam timbers come from the highest grade structural and appearance grade timbers from the coastal ranges of the pacific northwest. All columns shall be rigidply rafters inc glu lam columns manufactured of 1 southern yellow pine treated with cca to a 0 6 pcf retention and 1 untreated southern yellow pine.

From smooth surfaced to re sawn appearance. 3 as with other engineered wood products it reduces the overall amount of wood used when compared to solid sawn timbers by diminishing the negative impact of knots and other small defects in each component board. The treated portion shall be designed to extend at least one foot above the ground line.
